NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division

The Public Diplomacy Division plays a pivotal role in engaging with multiple audiences to explain NATO’s policies and activities through the media, digital communications, seminars and conferences. Through our public diplomacy activities, both in NATO nations and in partner countries, we ensure regular dialogue with influential think tankers, security experts, commentators, academics, NGOs and civil society organisations. We support public diplomacy projects through our grant programme, which focus on NATO’s priorities, including collective defence, deterrence and dialogue, and projecting stability. We increasingly support projects with a digital component, including social media and other on-line platforms, aiming to effectively reach a younger audience of opinion formers.
